I am in a weird mood. I was tired and done and then i drank a brown pop to get me through french class.
I feel fidgety and hyper-aware and jittery. I did manage to clean my room tho. And i made it through french without yawning too much. If i could just get some good sleep. But no - construction. lucid dreams. other peoples cats to fed. the presents they leave when you sleep to late. shitty roomate's suprise new puppy. you tube sucks me in as well sometimes...although that ones kinda my own fault. Or maybe the brown pop's.

I should settle down enough to read soon. I'm hooked on cheesy teen vampire series. LIke, think sweet valley high meets buffy meets romance style writing. I can't get enough.

wow. what a first day back.

i got in at 2 am or so.....came backto the house via cab in a VERY VERY gross storm. Ice rain, tonnes of snow......it was nasty. quite the shock from last week in edmonton, thats fer sure. no snow, tonnes of sun, ten degrees.....shorts for christ sake! And yesterday i went out a few times and being outside for more than about 20 seconds sucked my ass. *L*

I got to have some breakfast with the lil munkey, and my grrls. so nice to see them. it was a nice early, 8am breakfast......needless to say i had not so much sleep. After breakie i got unpacked, did some laundry....man did i have alotta laundry. i kinda timed it perfectly to run outta clothes the day i was gonna go back.....it was brutal not having laundry machines in the house out there. the nearest laundromat was a good twenty blocks too. *shudder*

I got to see karen and Renee yesterday afternoon. I was brave in the cold and went out. I bussed to karens, coulda walked but i'm not crazy.....so i took the bus. Nice to see her. Nice to lay on her couch...you get like, sucked into it. it eats you. *L* After that i got to go to renee's new apt. SO GOOD TO SEE HER! My lil bar buddy. she was so giggly and happy.....it was nice. We got to hang out for quite a while, smoked a lil, ate some yummy soup.....watched some kick ass canadian grrls kick some finnish hockey ass. I can't wait for the gold medal game.

and the burlesque show.....holy crap those things are so fun. There were some amaxing numbers last nite....some hot hot stuff. It was about 2 and a half hours or so....followed by a DJ and then a live band. So rad. The grrls/bois in the show rawked my socks. There were a couple of boi cykes who did a boi number together, and then later on in the show came out seperately as total grrls.....it was awesome.
and of course lotsa great femme numbers, good drag king stuff. i love drag king burlesque. I heart it.

It was also a nite of continual hugs and welcome backs and kisses and stuff. Almost everyone was there. It was the perfect ntie to just show up again. like nothing had changed.

anyhoo. after all that (and all the green stuff i smoked while doing it) i came home and passed out until about noon this afternoon. twenty minutes ago ish.

good to be home.

  i got to dress up.  so i boi-ed it up.

1.  the very very drunk older woman who stopped me and rebecca and clayton o the street, chatted us up, asked me for a hug and tried for a kiss.  Then she went into the Funky Pickle and danced for Cassandra. 

2.  Dancing with a Ryan at the bar.  Its been a while since i got to dirty dance with a yummy fag.  And to like, musical thaetre style dirty dance.  HAWT.

3. Making five bucks off the grrls at work.  All i had to do was eat a live cricket!  Mmmm.  Crunchy.  Posing for a pic with it all over my tongue was good too.

4.Deah calling and asking to be my date for the burlesque show...two weeks in advance.  And then agreeing to wear a black push-up and red lipstick.

5. Watching my roomate play her games.  That sounds dirty, but its not really...

6. Getting my lip double pierced.  The whole experience, from flirting with chris (the yummy piercer) to sara (the aprentices's) blue undies with baby blue skulls and crossbones, to the drining/smoking with sheli and casandra all night (before, at, and after work).  The whole day.  Good times.

7.  Comparing battle wounds.  hehe.  Thats all i can really say about that.

8.  Bulldogs.  Its a drink....a double margarita shlushy, with a beer bottle upside down....you stir it all together and gradually mix in the beer as you drink  SO yummy.  Go Julios! 3 in 1.... One drink is all you need!  Two and yer gone!

9.  talking to all my kids in ottawa.  I fuckin' miss you all!  all the changes and the stories.  TEN DAYS CHICKENS!!!!!!!!

heya kids.  bout time i got on here and updated.  things are going okay...i'm a lil sick, but happy enough. :)

oh aside from the whole harper thing....wtf??? when you have such a left wing life, and friends who are lefty and your whole communty is openminded and smart and supportive....its really easy to imagine that the world is changing at large, ya know?  And then ALL OF ALBERTA (and well, most of canada obviously) votes conservative and its a slap in the face to remind you of how far we have to go still.  how many ignorant fucks there are out there who need a kick in the ass.   Monday was my roomies b-day...my queer, female, roomie...and what a wonderful present she got!  Harper in a handbasket!   To help cool us off a lil, we decorated our front door.  I think the canada flag tape is a nice touch, eh?

alot has gone down. Things are much different than expected out here...

I moved out here to be wih a grrl, and it sure didn't work out. We've broken up. I had to end it. NOt that there's no chance in the future but its done for now. SO. I've moved out, i'm working, i've made a bunch of friends. I guess i could just come home early, back to ottawa, but really...i came out here for hte winter and i'll stay, regardless of how things work out.

My new place is wicked...i wish i could take pics. hmm...maybe i can....I'll try. Sheli has the top floor of an old house, so the outside walls are all angles and the people who own it have painted it all bright colors...the dining room is a pale green, the living room is a bright mauve and the kitchen is dandilion yellow. sheli's rom is BRIGHT BRIGHT green. its so cool. tiny little xmas lights everywhere in the hall. Fully furnished too...the whole place. I lucked out. Very very affordable too. I'm a lucky grrl. one thing didn't work out, but i scored something pretty darn wicked.

so we do indeed get the o.c. but it isn't as fun as it was. i watch it by myself, in the basement, while drea and chrissa and randy watch survivor...boo-urns! i don't have my group of lesbians to giggle and cry and shout at the tv with. I got breakfast in bed today....fabulous. Randy kncocked on the bedroom door at like, 9 to give us each a plate of bacon, eggs and banada pancakes. PLus yummy orange/kiwi/passion juice with STAR SHAPED ICE CUBES!Sanzzy. and yummy. Yay randy boy!

Yesterday we went to this big craft sale called the grande bazzarre. It was aesome. Kinda like a ladyfest craft sale, but with mulled wine, livemusic, and massage demo's. There are some crafty crafters here!!!! I got some good idea's...just intime to make xmas presents! yeehaw!

so totally random, but wanted to share. On the bus the other day, i went by a clinic, and the name of the Dr. was Dr. Botchway...I mean, i know i'm a lil doctorphobic, but would you go to a doctor who's name was Dr. Botchway??? BOTCH WAY. Might as well just say "Hello Dr. Nick!"

I have a Job, yay! I'm working at the Funky Pickle...its a pizza place...but like, yummy different pizza's...we even have a vegan pizza....i haven't tried it yet. Its like, a spicy Hummas instaed of pizzasauce, and then falafal and veggies, topped with tsatsiki (how the fark do you spell that??). And corn...there is corn on tonnes of our pizza's. ymmuy. ANYWAYS, the job is rad and i work with cool kids. I know one of 'em from school, kathleen. She's a year younger than my bro, totally rad. Cutie too. In the back i work with this cute little woman...she's constantly telling me how to bend the rules and stretch out the job so i don't finish to early. *L* She also seems to think its her job to make sure i eat...she's contantly making food at work, and coming up behind me and just shoving things in my mouth....i didn't mind the cookies so much, but the noodles got a lil messy. Awe, angie.

GUESS WHAT!?!? Drea and i are six months old this weekend! Crazy, huh? Go us! AND!!!!! SHE's MOVING TO OTTAWA SOONER THAN EXPECTED!!!! WEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never been on a motorbike before...it makes me feel poretty dyke-y and wicked. yay for dykes with bikes.

Afterwards, we're goin' to my fave restaurant (dadeo's) for some yummy yummy cajun food. Sweet potato fries man....best i've ever had. my absolute fave. I can't wait...and its like, next door to decadence. hehe.

I have a job interveiw this afternoon! Wee! At three, i'm meeting with a woman at Planet Organic. ITs an organic grocery/health food store. Right off Whyte ave. Kinda far from me, but totally busable, and i love whyte, so....not a big deal. Here's hopin'. ONly thing is, as i've been a laborer/genderqueer punky kid, i don't have a whole lotta interveiw appropriate clothes. I have, like....one outfit that might work. bah. And i'm sposed to meet up with Karen afterwards, so i'm gonna have to bring a change of clothes so that i'm not all uncomfy afterwards. Oh man! i'm meeting up with Karen at Muddy Waters, with Micheal....the boy who told her he heard a rumor i was coming back here as a man...grr. I still don't know how i feel about that.

ANYWAYS, the baby is asleep and drea just got outta the shower, so i'm gonna go hang out. xoxoxo.

and i am tired...super tired. *L* i decided that rather than get a nice, well deserved nite of sleep last nite and get up refreshed and bright eyed at 4:30 this morning, i would stay up all nite, drink my face off, and go to my 4:30 am flight. my list is getting smaller.....i'm just working on the computer stuff now, and i;m gonna vaccuum ad clean out the room for the last time this afternoon as well. I've started packing for there, im' totally unpacked here, which isa good time. I was a lil stressed out about it all...but now (even tho its getting down to the wire) i'm feeling alright about it. Its not so bad.

I spent like three hours today looking for a gad damn pair of pants....there was nothing anywhere. I hit up like a million stores, even resorted to trying women's pants (shudder....squirm). Finally i went to like american eagle and found a pair I liked, and resigned myself to the fact that they were nearly 60 bucks. I hate paying full price for things. I am a thrifty thrifty shopper, and it was really a last resort.....So i got up to the counter to pay for the frickin' things, and they're unmarked as a clearence item! 25 bucks instead. Yay!!! Thrifty shopping strikes again! It made my trip (and the hours of being in a mall...ew...) not so bad. And they're darn cool pants too.

So i get into edmonton at like, 11:30 am on saturday (early early flight man) and i get to spend the weekend with my baby. I don't think we're gonna leave her house much. I think some good intense cuddling (okay...mayeb more than that) is in order. Maybe a break to go see the new harry potter movie....we'll see. I do plan on seeing it tomorrow morning tho....yay harrypotter! im so stoked! OH! and know what other mopvie i'm super stoked about rightnow? RENT!!!! I had no idea they were making a movie of it!!! I remember the days when i used to volunteer at the youth co-op and we made the cast of rent outta barbie dolls.....we made Mimi with electrical tape (she even had a whip! Steven and Aaron are the wonderful kids who taught me all the words....i think its about all they sang that summer. CAN'T wait to see it....hey Aaron! Wanna go with me!?!?
